Weekly Homework 21/1/2019

Hi all, 

We're going back to the homework that we had before Winter break as we're finishing the rest of our initial sounds over the next while. 

You will notice that one of the homework pages has an 'X' on it so please don't complete this as the Oral Language Page will be left in the folders for the fortnight. 

Here's the homework for the week:

1. Sound and Tricky Word Worksheet - Our new sounds for the week are 'j' and 'x'.

Please colour in the pictures and practice the sounds and letter formations with them throughout the week. 

2. Sounds Booklet - Our sounds this week are 'j' (p. ) and 'x' (p.). Please complete both pages by Friday. Also, please try to do these two pages only (pages 25 and 30)

Today we learned all about the 'j' sound. 

Take a look at our song and picture for the 'j' sound. Try to find items in the picture and around the house that start with 'j'. 

We will be learning the sound 'x' later on in the week.

Use your magic eyes to find some 'x' objects in the pictures below! 

   

3. Tricky words - Our tricky word this week is you. Try and think about all the sentences we say every day using the word 'you'! 

4.  Oral Language Page: The Café - The children will be learning all about The Café over the next two weeks. Take a look at the page about 'The Café' and have a chat about the words and the picture.

Homework will be collected on Friday morning so please ensure the folders are in their bags for collection on Friday.
